Vision Statement
A Caribbean where trans people live with dignity, free from discrimination, protected by laws, and empowered with inclusive healthcare.
UCTRANS supports leadership and governance within local transgender movements across countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, Guyana, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Suriname, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and the OECS.
Our Trans Ambassadors commitment, professionalism, and consistent engagement with our national partners have significantly contributed to the progress of our work in the community.
Our Community Liaison Officer-CLO program, known as
Trans Ambassador has been instrumental in feeding information to our regional network on trans communities in the Caribbean region. Thank you to our donors who support this work.
#WorldAIDSDay is a moment to remember those we have lost, and to renew our commitment to the HIV response and to #endAIDS.
Nearly a quarter of the world's 40 million people living with HIV are not on treatment. Yet, in the hardest of circumstances, I have seen this year, countries & communities overcome disruption and push toward more sustainable, inclusive and nationally owned HIV responses.
Ending AIDS as a public health threat is within our grasp — we must seize the moment now. Lives are at stake.
Today is International Men’s Day:
From trans men, non-binary people, men of colour, and older men to disabled men, and straight men who don’t conform to traditional ideals, today we celebrate healthy masculinity in all its forms.
