There are many to whom life is a painful struggle; they feel their deficiencies and are miserable and unbelieving; they think they have nothing for which to be grateful. Kind words, looks of sympathy, expressions of appreciation, would be to many a struggling and lonely one as the cup of cold water to a thirsty soul. A word of sympathy, an act of kindness, would lift burdens that rest heavily upon weary shoulders. And every word or deed of unselfish kindness is an expression of the love of Christ for lost humanity

In all our associations, it should be remembered that in the experience of others, there are chapters sealed from mortal sight. On the pages of memory are sad histories that are sacredly guarded from curious eyes. There stand registered long, hard battles with trying circumstances, perhaps troubles in the home life, that day by day weaken courage, confidence, and faith. Those who are fighting the battle of life at great odds may be strengthened and encouraged by little attentions that cost only a loving effort. To such a strong, helpful grasp of the hand by a true friend is worth more than gold or silver. Words of kindness are as welcome as the smile of angels. There are multitudes struggling with poverty, compelled to labor hard for small wages, and able to secure the barest necessities of life. Toil and deprivation, with no hope of better things, make their burden very heavy. When pain and sickness are added, the burden is almost insupportable. Careworn and oppressed, they know not where to turn for relief. Sympathize with them in their trials, their heartaches, and disappointments. This will open the way for you to help them. Speak to them of God's promises, pray with and for them, and inspire them with hope. Words of cheer and encouragement spoke when the soul is sick and the pulse of courage is low. These are regarded by the Savior as if spoken to Himself. As hearts are cheered, the heavenly angels look on in pleased recognition.

I, #Tobacco I am the cause of copious diseases and numerous deaths. I possess a wide variety of poisons, capable of destroying the life of the animals and people that consume me. Nicotine is my best friend. I owe her a large portion of my life; she keeps the habit burning and makes my followers become hardened. I stay in men's pockets and women's handbags. Some of my consumers carry me in gold or silver cases, some of which are inlaid with precious stones. Many use me in just my fine-cut form, wrapped in any kind of paper, from the most ordinary to the most sophisticated. I please my customers in various ways: with cigarettes, cigars, snuff, and other variants. They all feel pleasure as they use me. Some smokers use tips, others take pleasure in smoking pipes, and some use filters to get rid of my poisons, but the harm I cause in their bodies is nearly the same. I am a friend of athletes, artists, teachers, religious people, politicians, and musicians and of thousands of distinguished people. Sooner or later, all of them will suffer my ravages. Cancer is my favorite disease, and there is where I trap my clients. I am a good provider for hospitals. Funeral parlors and undertakers have a lot to do with me ... But I want to leave this piece advice for you: If you want to be happy in life, do not consume me! Leave Tobacco or Die
