I just vetoed my first bill. This bill would risk your retirement savings by making it illegal to consider risk factors MAGA House Republicans don't like. Your plan manager should be able to protect your hard-earned savings — whether Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene likes it or not.

Thank about it. Are we (American society) more anti-abortions because we we are more accepting of unwed mothers than we were a generation ago?

This is dangerous and not who we are as patriotic North Carolinians. @MarkRobinsonNC's assault weapon threats are bad enough, but an elected official sworn to uphold the constitution advocating violent overthrow of our govt shames NC and puts our safety and our democracy at risk.

Amazing lady!
I heard Betty Reid Soskin is retiring at 100, and want to congratulate her for more than a decade of service as a National Park Ranger.   Betty, I hope you realize just how many people appreciate everything you’ve done—myself included.
Great human!

Many elem ts have almost 0 planning and prep time during paid hrs. Secondary ts have all kinds of duties for clubs and sports, in addition to prepping and grading and meetings. Hours!!!
Exactly!!! When is a teacher's job EVER done. 😂
Or be an elementary teacher with no assistant, planning and teaching every subject! And no planning or bathroom times!
No, that not what he meant - he is the reason why public education is what it is today. People thinking that b/c they went to high school & were students, they know exactly what teachers do & it seems like an easy gig. Yet, ask Tim to give 3 90 min presentations everyday 1/2

Try it out for 1 WEEK!
Wow! This just proves that many people are CLUELESS! No wonder there is so little respect for teachers. Others have NO IDEA of the EXTRA HOURS "volunteered" by teachers!
Teachers are the only professionals who insist on operating within contractually stipulated time periods. A professional works until the job is done.

The evidence is clear: You’re far more likely to regret *not* getting the vaccine than getting it. If you doubt that, you should consider the growing number of people who deeply regret not getting vaccinated. Here are *46 articles* about them. #ncpol jeff-jackson.medium.com/46-s…

Can't believe this school year will be starting with the pandemic growing. I. Can't. Do. This. (But I will!)
What a shame that @NCSuperintendent is not a voice for reasonable teacher pay raises. Hard to fathom.
I’d like to thank the Senate for their hard work in passing a budget that does so much to boost North Carolina’s public school system. Full quote and a list of educational priorities included in the Senate budget below. #nced

The Senate budget mortgages the future health and education of our people to the corporations and wealthiest among us ($13B tax cut). Just awful. A measly 1.5% raise for teachers next year after no raise last year? Thank goodness the budget process has a long way to go. - RC

Budgt amdt from Sen. Mike Garrett calls for raising NC teacher salaries by 10% over the next 2 years. He points to the large surplus that's available. He says the 3% raise in Senate budget is a 'slap in the face' to educators. #nced #ncpol #ncga dashboard.ncleg.gov/Calendar…

“When presented with an added $6.5 billion in unexpected revenue, the Senate opted to reward educators for working non-stop to support students through the most difficult school year in history with a pitiful 1.5% raise. Corporate tax cuts take priority over students yet again.”
