Over the last couple of weeks, we tested our #UnitedDowns wells to ensure that #geothermal fluid can be obtained at a #pressure, flow rate and #temperate that is #economic for #power #generation. We're proud to say we were successful in doing so!

As our testing period was #successful, the next step at our #UnitedDowns site is the #installation of a binary powerplant. This will allow us to harness the hot #geothermal fluid by turning the heat to power, generating #electricity for the National Grid.

On the 1st July 2021, Geothermal Engineering made history by being the FIRST developer to successfully bring the naturally hot #geothermal fluid to the surface and reinject it #underground, proving that the novel concept at #UnitedDowns works and a powerplant can now be installed

The last few parts at the #Geothermal site are about to be cleared off by our #hardworking contractors. We thank everyone still working to the best of their ability to end these #successful couple of weeks.

The #rig mast has been lowered and the #crane is back to help with some heavy lifting! A few more days and our #geothermal site at #UnitedDowns will be bare once again... Thank you to everyone who worked their hardest over the last two weeks!

Geothermal #Power testing has successfully been completed! The temporary ESP is being removed from the #Geothermal Production Well. The #UnitedDowns site will be back to just the well heads next week.
