Ngayong Hunyo 12, 2024, ipinagdiriwang natin ang ika-126 na taon mula noong nakalaya ang Pilipinas mula sa Espanya noong 1898. Maraming sakripisyo at paghihirap ang inialay ng mga Pilipino noon upang makamit itong kalayaan na tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Nakikiisa ang UP Samahan ng mga Lantay na Diamante sa paggunita sa mga bayani na lumaban para sa ating kalayaan. Nakikiisa rin ang UP SALADIA sa pananawagan sa kabataan at iba pang sektor ng lipunan na gamitin ang ating mga boses at kakayahan upang mapanatili ang kasarinlan.

Kaya't sa araw na ito at sa mga susunod pa, gamitin natin ang ating boses upang tumindig at ipaglaban ang mga karapatan at kapakanan ng bawat manggagawa sa pagbibigay ng tamang sahod at disenteng trabaho lalong-lalo ngayon na hindi mapigilan ang pagtaas ng mga bilihin.
