Colombia returns to the Copa Mundial today in Mexico City, so here’s Colombia’s own Meridan Brothers teamed up with Mexican Institute of Sound for some psychedelic cumbia. Beck appears on a couple tracks. Have a listen!

It's interesting that it doesn’t matter what genre it is (in this case Krautrock) there’s just some element of Japanese-ness that can’t help but seep through. Have a listen!

Note: this is the opposite of the correct attitude for Portugal in the World Cup, who are poised to overcome decades of futility and underperformance and bring home victory.

This came up in a (live, in-person) conversation about the bass and songs where the bass leads, versus the guitar. Say whatever you want about Jamiroquai, but if anyone says anything bad about Stuart Zender, I'm gonna have to fight you.
