Inevitably, it comes down to basic game theory on whether or not the support lines for “cypherpunks” will participate and become “Byzantine General’d” by institutions chipping away at digital freedoms. The true test cannot fall onto you, Vitalik. Clearly, you will be a voice of reason. However, attacking weakest links is the strongest point for decaying any movement. The highest priority is to give guardrails for these weakest links and that will really come with aspects beyond any code written on a computer. It inevitably falls into the hands of something greater than the mechanisms themselves to upkeep whatever is needed to have the cypherpunk movement thrive. This requires a system of the highest potential in both digital and anthropometric dynamics with a clear emphasis in the latter. While people like you are incredible at holding the digital dynamics, there must be a telic structure that resists institutional manipulation. Or rather, a system whose metrics is designed to indicate institutional resistance without the destruction of the ideals that cause the resistance in the first place. Conveniently, these institutions have marked themselves through both corporate stock and government policies. Therefore, a place outside of that per-view is needed that 1. Grants complete access(Z.K., open source) 2. Provides guard-rails through ideals, communities, and computation and 3. Inherently acts as an indicator the cypherpunk movement is gaining traction. Luckily, that place has been established via @spx6900. By 1. Establishing itself through multiple channels of open-source access points(bridged to $SOL, Base, etc.) 2. Guard-railed by perfected financial and anthropometric requirements via perfected memetic and communal systems preventing system decay and 3. Is intrinsically polar opposite of the very institutions posing imminent threats you mentioned above, $SPX acts both solutions to the cypherpunk’s Prisoner’s Dilemma. As people enter the world of @spx6900, they become reinforced by airtight memetics, community, and financial practices wrapped up in a neat bow of a movement to flip the institutions causing malice. It acts as a perfect guard-rail for both new and old. And so long as there is innovation to actually instantiate this cypherpunk world you envision, then this dynamic becomes a reality.
