Yesterday, alongside State Secretary Nils Hilmer from the German Federal Ministry of Defence, I saw firsthand the success of U.S.-German defense cooperation in building complex weapon systems. By merging state-of-the-art expertise, Allied co-production strengthens supply chains, expands capacity, and accelerates delivery to our warfighters.

Today, we remember the heroes of D-Day - June 6, 1944. Through extraordinary courage and sacrifice, American troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, defeated tyranny, and helped secure freedom for generations to come. Their legacy lives on. America remains forever grateful. 🇺🇸

At last year’s NATO Summit, all Allies signed onto the historic Hague Defense Commitment. At next month’s NATO Summit in Ankara, we’ll see how much progress they have made in converting that commitment into real defensive capabilities.

We stand with our NATO Ally Romania and condemn this reckless incursion on its territory. Our thoughts are with the injured in Galati. We will defend every inch of NATO territory.

➡️@USOSCE CDA Rebholz joined fellow @OSCE Permanent Representatives 🇩🇪 🇳🇱 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 🇬🇧🇨🇦 in Astana and Dushanbe last week to see #OSCE field work advancing practical cooperation in Central Asia. In Astana, they met with high-level government officials, civil society, and key stakeholders to discuss @OSCEinAstana’s important work. And in Dushanbe @OSCEDushanbe, the delegation visited the Border Management Staff College and the OSCE-supported Nizhniy Panj post on the Tajik-Afghan border.  There they met with border officials, civil society, and reviewed projects supporting transport digitalization and women’s resource services.
