#babylonjs Editor v5.3.0 has been released!
2 major additions:
- CLI: generate assets and scenes directly from your favorite CI/CD pipelines (editor.babylonjs.com/documen…)
- Fab plugin: import and use pre-configured hight-quality assets directly imported from Fab (editor.babylonjs.com/documen…)
Making a business on top of open source software already was near impossible. And now OSS maintainers who want to earn money are extra screwed.
AI will scrape your project site, users will never visit it for documentation and will never know about your commercial product.
And we're not talking about some random small library. This is the world's most used CSS framework that's growing day by day.
At this point, the only thing you will be able to do in open source is upselling LLM tokens.
My old game "Jumpilla" still getting sales on Steam thanks to this awesome event called Games Made in New Zealand. Unfortunately wasn't able to add a discount because of a conflict but both will be on sale next week.

Made in New Zealand! Featured on Steam's front page.
"The Farming Frontier" is also featured in this event.
Buy some games, wishlist upcoming ones, and play some demos made in Aotearoa.

One of the most underrated #gamedev grind: creating your store presence across every platform: Steam, Microsoft Store, macOS App Store, iOS App Store, Google Play, and more.
Just finished this task for "The Farming Frontier" on 4 platforms, 3 vendors.
I didn't even mention in-app purchases, static ads, rewarded ads, consumable products, achievements, leader boards....
You have a cross-platform game engine but all vendors have different SDKs to implement. Aargh!
