The older English word for gorilla was “Pongo,” coined by Andrew Battel in 1625 while describing them as “Chimeras […] who kill groups of negroes that travel through the forests.” Hanno for his part had the women killed and their skins were displayed in Carthage until the Punic wars

In a sense, much of Eastern is ahead of the curve with this. As the government there knows this, they tend to import Filipinos, Nepalis, Indians, and sometimes even Brazilians. It’s usually females in tourism related jobs, and then the males slowly pour into delivery/construction

Because they have no real theory of mind. Most Eastern Europeans cannot really comprehend just how bad the countries these people come from are. They assume their own countries which are plagued by patronage, nepotism, and rampant corruption couldn’t possibly be much better, so these people will have to leave. By this point, it’s too late, and you start to see family reunion visas, more people flooding in, 7-8 people to a room, which rapes the rental and wage market even more.

The only real respite for Eastern Europe at the moment is the fact that none of these individuals have managed to break free from the indentured slave caste and begin to buy property or start their own businesses. Once that happens, it’s effectively game over. It’s why you see stores in Western cities staffed entirely by Indians, etc.
