So incredibly glad that @bluesky is having it's L shaped moment and scaling furiously.. these are in millions of people.. so still nothing compared to the rest - but I'm excited again like I used to be for the possibilities of twitter #theWebIsBack

Verbatimicity is a cool concept (as in, inverse parameter of flexibility/paraphrasing)

Have been playing with this notebooklm thing from google. It's very nicely done. But this one is.. off the chain!

Google upgraded NotebookLM/Audio Overviews, adding support for YouTube videos and audio files Audio Overviews turns notes, PDFs, Google Docs, and more into AI-generated podcasts Here’s a wild example:

Super cool. One of the things I like best is using paintbrush and other *visual* tools that can empower instead of dis-empower visual artists.
Official example from #kling_ai showcasing the use of the motion brush. 😱🎥 INSANE !!

Amazon is a broken mess. I have done over $50,000,000 on amazon. They dont care about me as a seller, partner, or person. I uploaded this design patent Was told “stop contacting me” What went wrong inside amazon? why do they hate small businesses and the law? A thread:

They've gone full mask-off: 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 trust @OpenAI or its products (ChatGPT etc). There is only one reason for appointing an @NSAGov Director to your board. This is a willful, calculated betrayal of the rights of every person on Earth. You have been warned.
🚨🇺🇸BREAKING: OPENAI APPOINTS FORMER NSA HEAD PAUL NAKASONE TO BOARD OpenAI has appointed Paul M. Nakasone, retired US Army general and former NSA head, to its board of directors. Nakasone, who led the NSA from 2018 to 2023, will join OpenAI's Safety and Security Committee. He will help improve AI’s role in cybersecurity by detecting and responding to threats quickly. His appointment follows concerns over safety culture at OpenAI. Source: The Verge

I think most AI people agree .. They tried to build robots for years then accidentally built this other shit and it turned out to be an easier nut to crack .. well easier to make a huge mess of on the ground with bits of shell everywhere and only a halfway edible walnut anyway

This is the result of me trying to use Google's agent on my pixel/Android for I dunno how many years. No wonder it's confused, god knows its nonsense to me.

Sad news. 'Alignment' widely agreed to be super important - and hard. But unfortunately, when tech execs hear the words 'hard problem' they immediately stop thinking due to the deafening  sound of words 'expensive' and 'schedule delay' reverberating through their skull cavities.

Yesterday was my last day as head of alignment, superalignment lead, and executive @OpenAI.

💐💐 to @FlyAirNZ who sent my 2FA to WhatsApp instead of SMS (presumably only if you are registered there). Much better for travelers. Also the passkey thing, using browser to get fingerprint is nicely done. Someone on the @FlyAirNZ team really knows what they're doing.
Did it occur to @FlyAirNZ that maybe some of their customers might be traveling? And so switching them (un asked) to 2 factor auth via text message might be.. i dunno. Really annoying. When you're in a yurt somewhere, for instance, and not IN RANGE OF NZ MOBILE NETWORK argh

@MSFTResearch did you happen to publish a 'datasheet' for the data used to train phi-3 model? @MSFTCopilot suggested I should ask you.. ?

Genuine question honestly! Also if you happen to see this.. any word on whether there will be a non instruction-tuned version of the phi-3 model made available at any point?

I did something very similar once. Literally the girl I had the biggest crush on (though we had only been friends till then) climbs into actual bed with me at my flat but i had a cold and didn't wanna give it to her which honestly maybe is a fair call but also omg wut?

Here is the key frame. As you can see, at the moment of impact the ball entirely dissapears due to a multiversal quantum superposition.. no wonder McEnroe was so peeved.
