ALT This talk explores insights from a co-taught course on Palestinian and Israeli Food Cultures at Carnegie Mellon University. The novelty of this pedagogical approach lies in its focus on food ways as a medium to learn about Jewish and Palestinian identities, the history of migration and its accompanying food transmission, reshaping the practices of local communities, and the longing to revive lost land as a result of displacement through food memories. Can teaching and travel pedagogy serve peacemaking?
