#POTUS#Trump late Wednesday tapped @DAGToddBlanche as the next U.S. #AttorneyGeneral. Many observers called for firing Acting AG #ToddBlanche when Blanche told Congress he supported Trump's settlement with the #IRS to ban any future IRS tax audits of Donald Trump, his family members and their businesses. Acting AG Blanche's designated role @TheJusticeDept to lead the creation of a cash distribution infrastructure for the so-called anti-weaponization fund, the payoff pile, would be another basis for the calls. #SlushFundx.com/i/status/2062369458723…
Amid loud hammering at the #TrumpBallroom construction site where he held a presser, Tuesday, 47 insisted #taxpayer money will not be used to build the massive ballroom that would replace the demolished East Room at the White House.
Meanwhile, the @TheJusticeDept created a $1.8 billion fund tantamount to a #SlushFund in settling #POTUS#Trump's $10 billion lawsuit over alleged #IncomeTax "#leaks" at the #IRS. Trump could use the new funds to pay off supporters whom he claims the feds hurt, such as January 6th insurrectionists.
This, despite the conflict of interest. Acting U.S. AG @DAGToddBlanche represented the president in his action against the IRS. #corruption#kickbacksapnews.com/article/trump-law…
Watching @NYCMayor#Mamdani at a #CityHall Blue Room presser, presenting #NYC's FY 2027 #budget Friday, I wondered whether Comptroller @MarkLevineNYC was in the house. #MarkLevine stated Tuesday: "The Executive Budget relies on $2.8 billion in 1-time measures and $2.3 billion in short-term #pension "savings" without [making up for] a City government that continues to spend more than we take in, even in a year of record revenues.
"Between now and June 30th, it is important that we strengthen this budget by reducing reliance on 1-time actions. That is what I’ll be fighting for in the weeks ahead.”

Correction: @NYCMayor#Mamdani was presenting a FY 2027 #budget known as an "Executive Budget." #NewYork does not yet have a budget for FY 2027. A final #NYC budget, in part, would reflect funds to stem from the State's budget to come.
Mangione's Smoking Gun Stays:
Justice Gregory Carro in #NewYork State Supreme Court ruled Monday that the #gun, silencer and manifesto/journal found in #LuigiMangione's backpack are admissible as evidence in the alleged killer #Mangione's state #trial for the Midtown Manhattan murder of #UnitedHealthcare ceo #BrianThompson. A shooter killed Thompson in December 2024 when he was walking to a @UHC annual meeting of shareholders at the @newyorkhiltonm in the West 50s.
