Weekend Fixtures- The final game of the season is upon the Firsts this weekend. A season full of improvement and more importantly excitement into next season, with new additions into the squad at the start of the season, and during, that set us up nicely going into next season. After two close defeats to Winstanley we have them for the 3rd time in 3 games, looking to improve on the previous 2 x 2-1 defeats. 2:30 KO away. #COYS

On a less morbid note… Clements A team drew 3-3 with unbeaten Rossendale. Clements went 1-0 up early when Luke Grant got his head to the ball before the keeper and Callum Lynch was on hand to sweep it in. The rest of the first half was all Rossendale who capitalised on mistakes to take a 3-1 lead into half time. A fairly even 2nd half was brought to life when Mike McNicholas found the top corner from 30 yards, josh Charlton then nearly found the equaliser from 30 yards, but this time keeper got to top corner to tip over. With 15 to go ref awarded a pen for handball, Craig Kirby stepped up and found the bottom corner with ease. Excellent point against a very good Rossendale team. Two top results in two weeks for The ever improving thirds!!

DEV TEAM- Dominant and aggressive performance today, giving us two wins on the bounce, with clean sheets, putting us up to second as it stands. First goal from a Danny Rea throw where Webby attacked with determination and found it's way in. Second goal Raz clipped a ball with his weak foot over their defence to the back post where Webby finished clinically in the air. Third goal came from a quick free kick, well worked, where chewy put it on a plate for Dan G to head home Fourth goal we pressed immediately from their kick off raza dispossessed their full back and played to Trav who finished accurately to the bottom corner from outside the box. The final goal came from tidy work in the box from Tim who volleyed the ball clinically into the bottom left on his weak foot. All in all a mature and impressive display against a physical outifit

FIRST TEAM- The gaffers asked for a show and that came. A @mikelonergan18 goal put us in the lead before @stekeown pounced on a mistake to make it 2-0 Second half we controlled the game, and the third came from a quick free kick fired into @stekeown who took it beautifully down chest, knee and then finished home. The third was a lovely ball through to debutant @LewisNeal who slotted home. To wrap it up full back Simmo sat the defender down to slot home the 5th. MOTM- S. Clayton running the game, classy is the word. #COYS
