How to pay less in legal bills: 💰 Avoid long phone calls with multiple lawyers when possible 💰 Use your lawyer's documents - it's easier for us to start from scratch with our forms than edit docs you found elsewhere 💰 Have a good idea of what you want before engaging a lawyer 💰 Use the lawyer's standard process - don't reinvent the wheel 💰 Don't change your mind about terms in the middle of the process 💰 Don't try to do aspects of the deal yourself - mistakes are often made which leads to MORE lawyer time cleaning up the mess 💰 Don't try to cut corners - it will come back to bite you in the form of more legal bills later 💰 Check your legal bill often and make sure your lawyer is on budget 💰 Whenever possible, don't over-negotiate minor points with the other side - negotiations are a huge source of legal fees 💰 Be nice to your lawyer - maybe they'll give you a fee break 💰 Consider offering to provide a testimonial or some other marketing help in exchange for a fee break

NYC tech is on fire right now🔥The energy is insane and I find myself attending 3-5 events a day. Quality and diversity of companies is mind blowing.
