I was wrong. Thymer *is* the best, *will be* the best, and will only get better. You should use it. thymer.com

I have four PKM apps open. This is not good.

Org mode is the fastest and most efficient way to organise myself. I love it.

#Thymer doing Thymer things: Thymer can export your workspace data to a folder on your local device, including a subfolder for each collection, a (Thymer-annotated) markdown file for every record, plugin configuration files (JS, CSS, JSON), and all images and attachments. When you enable the Markdown Mirror, this export becomes a live, continuously updated copy of your workspace, so any workspace changes are automatically reflected in the target folder. It runs in the background while your workspace is open and works fully offline since all data is stored locally. That would be useful if you want to view your data outside Thymer, whether for AI indexing or simply knowing your data is always there on disk if you prefer that. Amazing @wcools and @jdvhouten

I was always looking forward to seeing @thunknotes develop into something great. I loved the aesthetic. :(

#Thymer is still in alpha, less than two months old, yet can stand confidently among the big boys in PKM land. It could even be argued it's surpassing them.

when the editor is hackable, even the cursor becomes UI. like a plugin to add real-time feedback to the caret.

It's only taken five years, but I've finally found the notes app to end all my app-switching, and mental chaos that went along with it. thymer.com It's a thing of beauty and ingenuity.

My opinion is that Thymer, when more widely released, will leave other "PKM" and notes apps far behind. I see no reason to use any other app. Thymer ticks (or will tick very soon) every box anyone would ever need. @jdvhouten @wcools

This is the app to beat all apps.
17-hour flight, thought to spin #Thymer up on the tablet without any expectation - alpha 1 week old and no desktop or mobile apps yet. Very pleasantly surprised to see it load and be able to read and write notes. Notes on the go from the get-go. Wow. Wi-Fi drops, no problem, can still use. @wcools and @jdvhouten built something special and cannot wait to see what they will release as apps.

Open many notes and tasks in panels, for the serious multi-tasker; or multi-noter! 🧠

Thymer is the best thing that happened to 2025. Left it late - but it's oh so sweet, and will only get better.

Got so many kind messages and useful feedback/bug reports in first 24h already. So awesome, thanks everyone! We'd love to invite a lot more people soon, just keeping it fairly small for the first alpha so we can try to keep up. I'm signing off for the holidays but can't wait to keep improving things!
