I took a photo of the club, and you can compare it with another photo of the same club, this time with the late, great Vin Garbutt posing for his 1977 album 'Eston California'.

The rear of the album featured my fellow Slaggy Islander Vin Garbutt posing outside Cleveland Coke Ovens on Eston Road The rail wagons stand on the line to Eston Mines station. I took a photo at the same location earlier this week, but this site has changed markedly since 1977

@vingarbutt proud to say he`s a relative. Bill and I ran the RED LION FOLK CLUB TRIMDON VILLAGE. And it was great to see our Vin when he came, it was always a good night all round. He inspired our son too. Who is now also a troubadour. miss you our kid.
