My feed on the other place is about 90% like it is here, with almost none of the bad stuff, so I think I'm done with ex dot com. See you over there?

Masala Noir's books seem pretty cool; printed ephemera from a specific niches, but can anyone vouch for how put together they are? Some of them seem to just be compiled from images found online rather than scanned in from physical collections. mamama-paris.com/collections…

Some of them have much higher production value than others, mind. I have my eye on the Noise Graphics book, but I'm trying to be sensible about spending money on reference books these days.

Any design pals looking for work atm? Got something come in starting next week that I can’t do. Mostly Photoshop work, bit of Figma and a bit of After Effects. You have to be at least 90% on each piece of software on that graph on your CV.

Following people in US cities on Strava is hilarious. Map view looks like they’ve just strolled round the corner to small Tesco and back again but then the distance is like 15km.

I was aghast on Tuesday how many of the rioters had taken their children along - aged from about 5 up to teenagers. One girl of about 8 or 9 was in floods of tears, terrified by the fire, but the adults with her wouldn’t let her leave. Similar scenes in other towns this weekend.

Fuck yeah Bristol!
Outside a hotel in Redcliffe, Bristol - the hotel is being protected by hundreds of Bristolians shouting ‘We are many, you are few. We are Bristol, who are you?’ to a group of around 100 protesters who had marched on the hotel

A digital archive of over 5300 Nigerian album covers, discovered via @RachelCabitt's amazing The Art of Cover Art newsletter. What a treasure trove. albumcoverbank.com/

19 months later, I finally found/remembered what this was. Orbita Coffee. Brand looked great, especially in motion. Seems they've gone bust though, which is a shame! Full case study: behance.net/gallery/13099738…
I'm trying to remember a recent(-ish) brand/rebrand that featured an animating logo where the counters orbited the letters they were from. Think it began with O? Does this ring any bells with anyone?

New tattoo idea
Champ Fleury, Geoffroy Tory, 1549. An emblematic work of the Renaissance, this book is the first treatise on French grammar, spelling and typography.

Very excited for this new cultural hub in Stockport. The fact it has a 10/10 brand by @studiodbd only adds to the anticipation

We are keen to blame everything from video games to smartphones to social media for the mental health crisis in young people - but if we want to understand the real reasons, we need only look around us. From me and @keefstuart: theguardian.com/games/articl…

The away kit sticks with the Seasiders theme, taking inspo from the stripes of seafront deck chairs that have faded in the sun, and using Duracell's copper colour for some good old fashioned bRaNd sYnErGy woooOOoo

Critics are calling the kits "very smart" and "smart" – they're a hit!
