Huge thanks to everyone who came along, presented talks & posters, attended workshops & social events. The atmosphere was friendly and positive, & the science on show was superb!

Congratulations to Dr Emma Watts, our winner of the Zeiss Postdoctoral Keynote Award this year! Emma was nominated for her recent Nature paper on mantle upwelling at the Afar triple junction, outstanding mentorship & peer support, as well as dedication to public engagement.

UK volcanology was well represented at last week's UNDRR 8th Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Geneva! This brings together the global community working on disaster risk reduction & is crucial for assessing progress on implementation of the Sendai Framework.
