Today, Azov celebrates its 12th anniversary. Years after the heroic defence of Mariupol, the unit - now the Corps - continues to fight for Ukraine in one of the most difficult parts of the frontline. The russian thug-in-chief once claimed that Azov "controls" Ukraine. Recently, the enemy's propaganda outlets blabbered that Azov was reaping loads of funds through a "financial network" abroad to procure military tech. The truth is simpler: the Corps is painstakingly developing its innovative capabilities thanks to our brilliant officers, engineers and operators. The Corps is scaling up its unmanned systems, electronic warfare and air defence -- working together with Ukrainian and foreign companies and sharing its expertise with our military partners. Instead of waiting for the "next big thing" in the military technology domain, our servicemen are actually creating that "big thing" themselves. You can support them by donating to our official charity fund, Azov One (follow the link below) - or simply by sharing this fundraiser. Every single effort helps a lot.

Nordic intelligence chiefs' assessment: russia is expanding its military bases and infrastructure on the borders with the European countries around the Baltic Sea in preparation for a potential war (link to the DR article in Danish below). That's a useful reminder that russia will not consider its losses in the ongoing war an obstacle to starting a new war on the European continent. Folks in the West often overlook that russians believe that their experience of waging a large-scale conflict, with a significant unmanned component, gives them a key advantage in terms of conducting offensive operations.

Occupiers Have Lost the Ability to Use the Port of Mariupol As a result of a joint operation conducted by the First Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts, the Special Operations Center «A», and the Unmanned Systems Forces, critical infrastructure facilities of the Mariupol Commercial Port were destroyed. Electrical substations, radar equipment, repair infrastructure, the control tower, and fuel and lubricant storage tanks were hit, as well as the sanctioned dry cargo vessel Lady Augusta, which is part of Russia's shadow fleet. Through the coordinated efforts of all units involved, the enemy has suffered another painful blow. The Mariupol Sea Commercial Port has been left without power, and Russian military logistics have been significantly disrupted. Azov continues to monitor logistics capabilities and enforce sanctions against Russians in the Sea of Azov region. Glory to Ukraine!

It was a great honour to meet the brave men and woman of Azov in Finland and an even greater privilege to show them our Parliament building together with my assistant. We also had the honour of meeting Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-aho, who (true to his form) impressed everyone with his language skills and expertise. Слава Україні 🇫🇮🇺🇦 Хай живе вільна Україна! The latest article in The Economist on Ukraine feels like a disparate collection of curious facts rather than a deep analysis with predictive potential. Alas, the topic of Ukraine's resilience - both on the frontline and in the rear, with all its bright aspects and dark sides - deserves a much more sophisticated analysis. And this analysis will not rely on some polling data or anecdotal stories. Much more interesting indicators are in the entrepreneurial environment, culture of lower-level commanders, and changing societal norms. None of it was covered in that Economist piece.

Polar researchers from the Akademik Vernadsky station joined the international Run the Line event, organized by First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine and Lotus Fund. The run honors Ukrainian Heroes, including the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal, and supports our military. Participants of the 31st Ukrainian Antarctic Expedition raised the flag of the run's organizer — First Corps Azov of the National Guard of Ukraine — on Vouz Hill, the highest point of Galindez Island, where the station is located. The team ran along the summit of an ice-covered rocky hill to show their support. Run the Line is a way to stay united across borders and stand in solidarity with those who hold the line every day, through real action. Because some lines are worth every step. Join us — the run takes place across all continents from May 23 to 30. More details on Lotus Fund bio in Instagram.

Drone teams of our Corps have been so effective in striking key logistical lines of the enemy in depth that russian military bloggers are now calling on concealing their fuel trucks as civilian vehicles. They admit that it is a "reactive" option - thus indicating that they were not prepared for how large-scale this problem would become for their troops

Regarding the strikes on moscow. I will humbly repost this tweet from 2 months ago, as this assessment retains its validity
Many Western observers were skeptical of the idea that Ukraine would — in time — create significant disruption for life in Moscow to impose political costs on the regime. We are seeing that unfolding now — and this year will likely see even more trouble in that shithole of a city

At the request of the U.S., Ukraine set up its Sky Map air defense system at Prince Sultan Air Base following the Iranian drone attack a U.S. base in Kuwait, which killed six American servicemen, and after another attack destroyed an E-3 Sentry aircraft in Saudi Arabia. Ukraine's TTPs helped the U.S. shoot down Shaheds ($20,000-50,000) without expending expensive munitions such as the Patriot interceptor ($6-$10 million).
The US military adopted a “large number of tactics, techniques, and procedures” shared by Ukraine to help defend against Iranian attacks, CENTCOM chief Adm. Brad Cooper says

The Economist writes: "For the first time in nearly three years the initiative in the war appears to have shifted in favour of Ukraine. Having got through a harsh winter, when its cities and energy grid were pummelled almost nightly by massed Russian drones and missiles, Ukraine is now turning the tide. It is imposing increasing costs on Russia by almost every measure."

In this night's attack, Ukraine has neutralized (intercepted and jammed) 95% of all russian drones. This is a much higher efficiency indicator than the one demonstrated by the US, Israel, and the Arab states against the drones launched by Iran. Not to mention that the scale of russian attacks -- and their tactical sophistication -- is much, much larger.
