I'm a worker with policy experience running to be NC's lead advocate for workers. In this election, the choice couldn’t be more clear. Who do you want to be the lead advocate for workers in North Carolina: a worker like you or your boss's attorney?

It’s been over a week, and I am still recovering from the efforts of a 20-month-long campaign. While tying up some loose ends within the campaign, I have also returned to my job and picking up the kids from school! I’m also working on what’s next for me. 🧵

This is not the last you will be hearing from our campaign. We are thankful for your support, and will keep working to make North Carolina the #1 state for business and workers. You can follow @BraxtonWinston's personal account for more frequent updates.

I am sending my most heartfelt thank you to the folks of NC who voted for me, to the labor unions and organizations that worked tirelessly on my behalf, to the business leaders who supported me, and to the workers who believed in me. While we didn’t come out on top, workers came out in droves to make their voices heard and say they are ready for a new approach. The fight for a North Carolina that prioritizes its workers in addition to the business community doesn’t stop today. Let’s continue to unite around workplace safety, workers’ rights, and creating a thriving workforce. When we launched this campaign almost twenty months ago, we did so with the goal of making North Carolina the #1 state for business and workers. We got in the race early to visit as many communities as we could and spread our message of change from the mountains to the coast. North Carolina is a large state to campaign in, and I want to show my support for my opponent Luke Farley. We are both dads to three children, and I know the sacrifices he made for the love of our state. Thank you for stepping up to run, and I hope you prioritize all workers as you step into this very important position. #ncpol

In our race, the choice is clear. My opponent makes a living representing companies cited for wrongdoing by the Department of Labor. Now he wants to lead it. Get in line to vote by 7:30pm and elect a real advocate for workers, not a fox guarding the henhouse.

Happy Election Day! ☀️The polls are OPEN until 7:30PM tonight. This is it—our last chance to get to the polls and vote. We’re in the final hours of running a 20-month-long campaign, and every vote counts. In 2020, one of NC’s statewide races came down to just 401 votes. Your vote could be the one that makes the difference. Let’s bring this home. Visit iwillvote.com to find out where you can go vote, and don’t forget to grab your photo ID on the way out the door!

Important reminder for North Carolina voters who haven't yet put mail-in ballots in the mail: DONT! NC no longer allows ballots to arrive after the election. You'll need to deliver it to your county elections office (or go vote in person) tomorrow #ncpol wral.com/story/haven-t-maile…

For the past 2 years, I’ve woken up every day thinking about 401 votes—in 2020, the race for Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court was decided by 401 votes out of 5.4 million votes. Each day, I think about how I can talk to 401 voters (or more) about the fight for our courts.
