Given the power prosecutors possess, we know that when racial equity is not a priority, unscrupulous prosecutors will use their positions to target and attack the Black community. Unfortunately, the outcome of these elections represents a rejection of progressive values.

For the first time in decades, Louisiana will send 2 Black congress members to Capitol Hill after decisive outcomes in elections in both CD2 and CD6. Both districts were created in response to LDF’s decades of organizing and litigation on behalf of Black voters.
