Jujutsu Kaisen: Season 2 Episode 13 Review SB/ED - Takumi Sunokohara ( 砂小原巧 ) & Kazuto Arai ( 荒井和人 ) CAD - Yosuke Yajima ( 矢島陽介 ) & Mitsue Mori ( 森光恵 ) Script - Hiroshi Seko ( 瀬古浩司 ) I was waiting to do a thread on this episode, this is single-handedly the greatest hand to hand combat anime episode in a very long time and is also the best one in the series too as an episode but also as a episode with some fantastic storyboarding mixing it with great direction too. Let's get right into it then! Episode Direction & Storyboarding ( Takumi & Kazuto ) have made this episode easily the greatest when it comes to its visual combat showmanship and even made the compositing look genuinely great when it comes to Choso's blood abilities and vice versa. Incredible usage of enviromental damage and even shows the insane amount of detail when it comes to its hand to hand combat while also mixing it with some crazy good timing and camera work to match the adrenaline rush that Itadori is feeling. Kazuto is A Part & Takumi is B part but I feel Takumi hits the nail on the coffin when he managed to dish out the greatest fight in this show with the toilet scene having easily the best boards in a fighting scene in the series. In contrast to Kazuto's work it kind of mellows it out with 2 insanely good parts of the episode but the highest peaks were definitely B Part. Chief Animation work ( Yosuke Yajima & Mitsue Mori ) has got to be the perfect duo to create some amazing drawings while also using less linework but also making it more refined in the skills of Yajima's amazing consistency and stamina for the drawings themselves. Mori wasen't exactly seen in the drawings but its clear his drawings were definitely based on Yajima's as these two are similar in those traits. Despite this episode having a crazy bad schedule and the production was in hell at the time they still managed to create a masterpiece of drawing ability despite the odds. The best cuts were Kosuke Kato's, Doctorbeans, Fei Hung, Kazuto Arai, Tetsuya Takeuchi ( SD for KB! ) & Juny. One of my personal favourites has to be Kosuke Kato's amazing hand to hand choreography work as that was soooo good in many aspects of that fight, the boarding too added to the incredible work these animators have dished out and there are many more amazing people I can shout out but I would be here all day. Overall rating for me is an easy 9.2 out of 10, the fight was this good that I literally forgot about the story and just had a great time seeing the spectacle of a fighting episode turn to a golden nugget. Everything about it was perfection just wished the schedule was better for it so they could truly go all out but you can't change the past sadly. LOVE THIS FUCKING EPISODE! #jujutsukaisen #呪術廻戦
