Very proud that my @BaskinEng undergraduate students had their first first author paper accepted at the LP-IoT workshop (which, newsflash, is actually merging with #ENSsys@AcmSensys). Title and abstract follow... (1/n)
What's common between Harry Potter, climate change, and wireless/sensor technologies? Not much, but this video of my MobiSys keynote shares how all of them influenced our research at MIT: youtube.com/watch?v=EnRrdgnf…
I’ll be starting as an Assistant Professor at National University of Singapore’s CS Dept @NUSComputing in F2023, where my lab will focus on wireless system, robotics, and materials♻️📡📶🪫🤖
Until then I'll be at @MSFTResearch working with the amazing Networking Research Group!
This summer 3 of my PhD students are graduating to join Assistant Professorships! Akshay Gadre (@AkshayGadre1) at @UW, Jingxian Wang (@wang_wireless) at @NUSingapore (after a stint at MSR) & Haojian Jin (coadvised w. Prof. Jason Hong) at @UCSanDiego. Super proud! We'll miss them!
#FarmBeats for Students helps high school students get skilled with data and #AI and learn how it can play a role in helping address the world’s food problem. Learn more about our work at @MicrosoftAU with @CSIRO.
In partnership with the @CSIRO, the Microsoft FarmBeats for Students initiative is giving students first-hand experience of the tech we’ll need to sustainably produce enough food for future generations. Learn more: msft.it/6013bHFcN
Check out CACM Research Highlights featuring our work on software-defined cooking (SDC) — heating food in a programmatic and fine-grained way :D. Also, thank you @fadeladib for writing a very nice technical perspective on SDC: m-cacm.acm.org/magazines/202…
ALT A standard white microwave has been augmented for this software-designed cooking research. The new items are labeled and include optical fibers, programmable turntable, thermal camera and neon lights.
Glad to co-organize the 12th ACM S3 workshop colocated with @ACMMobiCom 2021! Please consider submitting your work! We have extended the Paper/Poster/Demo submission deadlines to July 16, 2021.
