- Al-Qassam Brigades revealed the identity of one of their fighters who took part in the raid on the Abu Mutaybiq Israeli military site in 2014: their late commander, Abdul Rahman Ahmad Hoor, along with his statement immediately after the raid.

On July 12, 2024, Yazan Al-Sarsawi, an 11-year-old talented footballer, was executed with a direct shot to the head by the Israeli army in Shujaiya, eastern Gaza City.
Yazan dreamed of playing professional football in the European leagues and was an avid fan of Cristiano Ronaldo.
