I’ll say this every single day if I have to - the European convention on human rights protects our right to a fair trial, freedom of assembly and expression, the right to participate in free elections, freedom of religion, freedom from discrimination, the right to privacy, freedom from torture and degrading treatment - leaving it would be absolutely insane
Jeez. Former Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick tells GB News viewers we should join Russia & Belarus as only other European nations outside the European convention on human rights If like me you will be opposing him RT this explanation of why his suggestion is utter insanity

This is the most embarrassing fact check I can remember seeing. Imagine literally having no clue how the House of Lords works, or what its current composition is. The Tories need to hurry up and elevate Shapps to the Lords to boost their numbers by 5.

Defence secretary Grant Shapps has claimed that the Labour party controls the House of Lords and has a majority there. This is incorrect. No party has an overall majority and there are considerably more Conservative peers than Labour. buff.ly/48I2dr8

Every French town with more than 30K souls, has a library by law. These have become digital and cultural hubs, and the policy has been such a success, that smaller towns have their own ‘médiathèques’ anyway. The Tories want to starve you of education, so they can brainwash you.
Closure of 800 libraries Tories - the kind of people who don't just want more for themselves, they actively want less for everyone else ..... 😡

If you want to see just how badly people were lied to during the Brexit referendum, take a look at this actual Leave video. Our lived reality has played out exactly the opposite to how post-Brexit life is portrayed in this nonsensical piece of propaganda.

Last year the High Court ruled that in 2022 60% of all sewage dumping was caused by lack of investment (capacity) with a further 18% happening due to lack of maintenance. Here's the reality of that looks like @thameswater's Standlake sewage works.

If Conservative Councillor Barrett had any understanding of criminal law, or any interest in promoting public understanding, he might have asked himself how somebody who was DPP between 2008-13 could be responsible for all private prosecutions between 1999 and 2015.

I'm ASTONISHED by THIS⏬️ The Post Office compensation scheme designed to give as little as possible to sub postmasters 😡 The superb @danneidle analysis ⏬️

The Post Office's compensation scheme is designed to minimise payouts. One postmaster received £15.75. That isn't a typo. I count nine ways the Post Office's HSS compensation scheme is rigged:
