Every now and then, we’re reminded of the importance of teams coming together: eager participants stepping out of their comfort zones and passionate staff ensuring some essential digital magic happens.
On Monday, we delivered a pilot session for six young mums and their babies, in partnership with the Care Leavers Team at the House Project. This day was designed to empower young adults with essential digital skills via our online courses. Each attendee received a FREE Chromebook and access to our complete online programme.
The success of this day was only possible thanks to the House Project team, who cared for and entertained the babies and toddlers in an adjoining room, allowing the mums to focus on their learning.
We hired the Bentilee Youth Hub at the Neighbourhood Centre, which provided a perfect space for safe play, learning, and lunch.
The day was a total success, a true team effort. On paper, there were plenty of reasons why this might not work—but it did, and it was worth every moment.
Making waves in digital inclusion, one day at a time!
