Walkable cities πŸ’™
You’ll never see scenes like this in San Antonio because it’s so un walkable and car centric. It doesn’t have to be like this!

Madonna definitivamente não precisava entregar algo assim nessa altura do jogo, mas ela entregou. Por amor a arte e a cultura pop e não por charts. Torço para que a sua fave aos 67 anos consiga também.

CNN = Owned by a right-wing billionaire. CBS = Owned by a right-wing billionaire. FOX = Owned by a right-wing billionaire. WaPo = Owned by a right-wing billionaire. WSJ = Owned by a right-wing billionaire. Ah yes, tell me more about how the mainstream media is β€œfar left.”

πŸ’―β€¦ & the library has books that only get checked out 1x/year. public transit & bike lanes being empty is false & result of decades of subsidies for driving (FREEways, wars for oil, USA land use policy that designs around the auto) that’s perpetuated by USA pop culture.
"The bike lane is empty."

This man is garbage. Lying cheating piles of lies and grift and ugliness. A monster. He’s a danger to democracy everywhere and the biggest mistake the USA has ever made.

It’s stunning and sad how this monster has duped the world into making it his piggy bank and leaving a path of ruin and chaos in his wake.
COMMENTARY: Let’s say it plainly: There has never been a president as corrupt as Donald Trump. There is no close second in our history. rollingstone.com/politics/po…

Ted Turner, founder of CNN, died today at 87. nytimes.com/2026/05/06/busin… Most obituaries will focus on his enormous impact on the media world, but I'd also note that he revolutionized philanthropy. Before him, rich people gave to museums, universities, churches. They spent more money buying paintings of women than actually helping women or girls. And then in 1997, Ted changed that almost by accident in a speech. "I was on my way to New York to make the speech,” Ted recalled to me later. β€œI just thought, what am I going to say?” So, to make the speech interesting, he announced he was going to give $1 billion to the UN to fight global poverty. (Here's the piece where he described how he made that gift: nytimes.com/2012/12/27/opini… ) That started a competition among tycoons to be more philanthropic and led many more to try to help the needy. He made giving cool, and he saved countless lives. RIP, Ted Turner, and thanks for all you did.

Shifting Baseline Syndrom.

This is a continuing story of a great nation fallen mesmerized into the hands of a charlatan. We hope there are growing signs of revulsion by the American people. Bizarre. Madness. Who are these people standing with this man.
At 250 feet tall, Trump's arch would be the biggest such structure in the world. Asked last fall what this modern-day arch was meant to commemorate, Trump pointed to himself and replied, β€œMe.” @sbg1 newyorker.com/news/letter-fr…

Popular vote is how we elect class presidents, winners on American Idol, congressional representatives, and city council members; why not the president of the United States as well.
🚨 63% of Americans support adopting a national popular vote for President.
