Memo to self: Always check the text before sending an email.
Instead of telling a peer in a recent email - ‘I know your heart’... spellcheck had changed my message to ‘I know you’re hot!’
That could have been awkward 🙄

I was at the AFL Final last night. I enjoyed it. 30,000 people were there, sitting shouder to shoulder - singing, eating and drinking.
Then I went to church this morning. Very different restrictions applied there.
It’s time the authorities gave us all, a level playing field.

2/2. And then, to catch our first flight in months today...talking to airline staff whose jobs were currently under threat. It reminded me again that we need to pray earnestly and show kindness everywhere.

I’ve had some sobering experiences in the last few days...
Praying (online) with some beautiful people from a church in Melbourne. Hearing them pray, whilst in lockdown, brought home the reality of what some folks are going through.

We prayed last night with a dear man, who had just lost a close relative to suicide. It was tragic!

20 years ago today (1/8/2000) we took on the leadership of the church called Glad Tidings Tabernacle in Fortitude Valley, (inner) Brisbane
