Derby County senior transition coach Jake Buxton has been appointed as the new Alfreton Town manager.
He will continue his work at Moor Farm on a part-time basis for two days per week whilst the club undertakes the process of appointing a replacement.

Football is back in the UK! As Alfreton Town FC kicks off the new campaign next weekend, I wanted to wish the new ownership group, ATFC Board, Staff & Players and most importantly the supporters a successful season, on and off the pitch. We recently sold our Ownership in Alfreton Town which was bitter-sweet. Excited to see the club continue to grow but we’re going to miss the community. It was great to catch up over pint(s) in January (even though match was postponed due to Frozen Pitch). It was a pleasure partnering with Chairman Wayne Bradley, serving on the Board during the highs (FA Cup runs, Playoffs) & lows (pandemic) while we always stayed true to our commitment to the club and the community. Love Alfreton. It’s a special community that will always have a special place in our families heart. Favorite part of ATFC Ownership was the people and hanging in the pubs over great beer to celebrate the wins and commiserate the losses. Lots of important lessons learned in England to bring to the US as soccer clubs are growing in communities all over America. From generation to generation; Alfreton Town supporters love their community and love their club. It was an honor to play a small part in the impressive history of Alfreton Town FC. Thank You for an amazing experience! Onward & Upward!
