Outstanding program on Nova tonight about building the ISS. It illustrated just a couple of the difficult problems that had to be overcome to accomplish that incredible project

Watching the new astronaut class announcement today I was left with the same feelings I had over a year ago when the Artemis II crew was announced. Doesn’t anybody think of this? waynehale.wordpress.com/2023…

Congratulations to SpaceX on a very successful flight 10. Hopefully this signals they have solved many of their little problems. Next up, I am anxious to see them demonstrate cryogenic fluid transfer between ships - a necessary step for HLS

This is the saddest news of the day. Marc was absolutely the best in all possible ways. I will miss him.
BREAKING: Canada's first astronaut, Marc Garneau, has died at the age of 76. In a statement, his wife Pam said "He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family". Garneau was elected to Parliament in 2008 and served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Transport.

Time to bring out an oldie but one that speaks to today as well. The applicable part is towards the end: "Meanwhile, could we please quit cancelling rocket projects before they get off the drawing board?" waynehale.wordpress.com/2011…

Spurious talk: Houston getting a shuttle or NASA HQ. moved here. JSC is deteriorating with the proposed federal budget. I expect a 'smoky bear' hat to wear giving tours at the JSC Historical Site after the NPS takes over. Because Houston doesn't care. waynehale.wordpress.com/2011…
