After a lot of thought, I've decided to close this account at the end of March this year and focus all my Twitter efforts at @settermjd.
The main reason is that the content of both overlap too much to justify having multiple accounts.

I think it would be incredibly rude to duck out of @phptek early. I hear the closing keynote is great.
I’m the closing keynote. Please don’t leave early.
The elephant is the mascot for PHP but they also share a lot of traits.
- Incredibly powerful
- Loyal and friendly (community)
- Complex communicators
- Versatile and flexible
I definitely don't hate PHP. I use it, know it well, and it's very popular.
But I think that we need something better for the web.. at least someday.. That handles the concurrent nature of web applications without such significant accidental complexity.
It's not a great fit..
