18 intense sleepless hours, countless adjustments, and one incredible outcome: all 3 satellites are alive and working in space. Solar panels deployed and satellites reliably sun pointing, all satellites detumbled successfully, and seamless two way communications working like a charm. From here, it only gets more exciting. Couldn’t be prouder of this team!

Tonight, dreams take flight as Fireflies rise to the stars. Every Firefly holds a tiny universe of light, and with today’s launch, that light grows brighter and shines down on earth. In less than an hour, Fireflies will take off to space and as they soar into the heavens, they carry our dreams, our dedication and a new vision for Earth. A journey years in the making, driven by passion, precision and purpose. And a new chapter begins for the entire team at @PixxelSpace, for @kshitijgokul and I, for planet Earth and for all those who believe in seeing the world in its truest colours, all 150 of them.

It’s insane when you think about it. 3 satellites of their kind all going up together. 3 of the most cutting edge earth observation satellites ever built. That will beam down data hitherto not available at this level of resolution and frequency ever. Built for the first time by the amazing @PixxelSpace team most of whom are building satellites for the first time. As they now blaze into the sky on a @SpaceX Falcon 9 carrying our vision for a brighter, more sustainable future, couldn’t be more excited to map the invisible, detect the undetectable and pave the way to protecting our planet’s beauty and its future. A new era in earth observation begins.
