1/ A woman discovered her ex husband was defrauding health insurance companies for millions. She tried bringing him to justice. It didn’t go as expected.
(This story is one of the wildest I’ve reported.)
Here’s what happened:
You do. I’ve met moms held in cells w their young kids before you take them. Seen the kids behind cyclone fences after you’ve “unaccompanied” them. Been w parents prosecuted like common criminals for doing what any parent would do, through tears asking me where their kids are. x.com/secnielsen/status/1008…
We'll ever know the demons that each of us fight on a daily basis, but Bourdain's passing hits hard because he was so full of life, vigor, and passion. His travels highlighted the fact that we are all more similar than we think/know and he recognized the humanity in all of us. x.com/trengriffin/status/100…
"As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. In return, life – and travel – leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks – on your body or on your heart – are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt." Bourdain
I'll think about responding to your other points (and your first post!), but that’s too much for this thread right now. I also feel bad that this is somewhat negative. I haven't offered many solutions here, but open to discussing with anyone that has some ideas!
rockhealth.com/reports/strea… Back to the original point–look how many companies are selling B2B2C. I don't envy how the funnel narrows from selling into employer/payer to the next step–having those customers market to your true users.
Those are the two pieces that made me think most about it and decoupling employment from insurance, but I'm not sure how you get there without staring over from scratch. Going state by state hasn't worked necessarily either (see Vermont).
3. Healthcare needs normal CAC/LTV. Agree and not going to beat the dead horse, but will link to @bgurley post about consumer first (abovethecrowd.com/2017/12/18…). Interesting thoughts in there about consumers (plz don't say consumerization any more) and
