I love Star Wars just as much as anyone, but I don’t love this change of having the music playing throughout Batuu. The layered, detailed soundscape that changed from day to night was what really immersed people & made it feel like you were truly experiencing Star Wars

Tried to get tickets for John Williams conducting in Berlin in June this year. All 3 performances sold out within ca. 10 minutes. I hadn't even made it through the queue into the shop yet. Bummer!

While everyone’s heading back to cinemas to see Interstellar, I had the pleasure today to be part of the worldwide one night only screenings of Daft Punk‘s Interstella 5555. It‘s so much fun seeing this on the big screen and vibing with so many fans in the theatre.

I had a wonderful time yesterday at the @TheTonebenders sound design meet up in London (thanks to @mpseorg). It was so great to meet @azimuthaudio in person and putting faces to some people that I've only interacted with online before. Great chats, everyone!

20 years ago today, Oceanic Airline's flight 815 crashed on an island in the south pacific and started the most amazing show television has ever seen. I can't believe LOST is turning 20 - this show means the world to me and keeps inspiring me to this day.

The arcs of the characters, the writing, the acting, Michael Giacchino's music, the endless treasure hunt for new pieces of the puzzle. It inspired me to write my Bachelor's thesis on LOST's storytelling and all of it still emotionally hits as hard as it did the first time.

I can't wait to see the @gettinglostdoc documentary, which has its premiere today in Los Angeles. And if you haven't experienced LOST yet, it is widely available now on Netflix and/or Disney (depending on territory).

I had the pleasure to see Tron: Legacy at the @BFI IMAX today. One of my all-time favourites for its incredibly stylish sound design, banger sound mix and of course breathtaking music. I love the dynamics of the sound edit and mix (e.g. Flynn's hideout vs. End of Line Club)

and the contrast of organic vs digital. The foley in this film is exceptional (CLU's footsteps in Flynn's hideout are just delicious). And my deepest appreciation to whoever designed the sound of the Recognizer. This little pass-by moment is probably my fav sound in the film.

If you've never seen Tron: Legacy (or never on the big screen) I highly recommend experiencing it in a cinema (when you can find one of the rare screenings).
