From a school notice: "Due to GDPR unfortunately, we cannot share the names of the other students in the class." 🤯 When the GDPR prevents you from knowing the names of next year's classmates, something has gone horribly, Europeanly wrong.

Welcome to the UK, where everyone seems to be earning money and nobody seems to have any. A return train ticket costs the same as a mini break abroad. A food shop requires a small loan. Rent rises every year. Bills rise every year. Insurance rises every year. The only thing that doesn't seem to rise is your wage. People are working full-time, doing overtime and picking up side hustles, yet still checking their bank balance before buying absolutely anything. This is supposed to be one of the richest countries in the world. So why does surviving here feel like a full time job on its own?

The UK has somehow convinced people that working full time and still being broke is completely normal.

All credit to Labour, a very smooth transition from authoritarianism to totalitarianism. x.com/Polymarket/status/2066…

JUST IN: UK Government clarifies adults will still be able to use social media by verifying their identities with digital IDs, facial recognition, passports and credit cards.

You've destroyed the free and open internet, and you think that's a victory? Hopefully, your dead party will be banished to the ash heap of history ASAP.
Today’s U-turn is fantastic news for young people, and the parents trying to keep them safe.

Just seen this: 'Adults can still access social media through age checks like facial recognition, digital IDs, passports and credit cards.' So it's not just a ban for kids, it's ID-gating half of the internet.

What’s the point being young in this country? Genuinely, what’s the point?

I used to play Xbox 360 late into the morning when I was in school. My parents found out and started turning the router off at night. Amazingly they didn’t require a parliamentary majority and royal assent.
