On the doorsteps this week I’ve lost count of the number of people who have said thank you for helping them. That’s the thing about @LibDems - in local councils and Parliament we roll up our sleeves and get things done. For hard-working local councillors #VoteLibDem on Thursday.

A customs union is the best way turbocharge our economy and tackle the cost of living. Those MPs who agree with us should vote to back our bill on a customs union tomorrow.

First Trump hit our steel and car sectors with tariffs, now he wants to hit our world leading British film industry. What will it take for the UK government to work with our allies in Europe and Canada on a joint response?

Farage wants you to eat chlorinated chicken just so he can keep licking the boots of his idol Donald Trump. It's so pathetic and unpatriotic.

Remembrance is as important as ever. The Chapel Street service is important to commemorate the Bravest Little Street in England, which saw such a high proportion of its residents lost in the First World War.

Harrison Ford: When dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms saying β€˜For God's sake, don't do this again,’ you have to pay attention. They're telling us something important. I've got one vote, same as anyone else, and I'm going to use it to move forward. I'm going to vote for Kamala Harris

An appalling scandal which proves that this rotten industry is no longer fit for purpose. But I’m afraid what the Government has announced so far gives me very little hope that we won’t see a repeat of this in the future. We need a new regulator with teeth and widescale reform
The BBC has found United Utilities repeatedly dumped raw sewage illegally into Lake Windermere over a three-year period. Tim Farron, Liberal Democrat MP with Windermere in his constituency, tells #R4Today this shows 'a repeated lack of transparency' in the water industry.

Actual work does not appeal to Farage, as demonstrated by his record in the EU Parliament. Having used his constituents to gain a foothold in Parliament, he sees himself as some sort of Machiavellian disruptor on the world stage, a trouble-making attention seeker.
