Spent this past weekend at
@JaspersBaseball evaluating and helping develop player plans for every pitcher!
Included in the eval was also a mobility and range of motion assessment.
When creating a development plan, it’s important to have clear objectives and the “why” behind it.
Ultimately, programs should be striving to improve on field performance, not just to get good at whatever the “thing” is.
Goals for each player are going to be broken down into 4 main buckets:
• Mechanical
• Pitch Development (movement and velocity)
• Pitch Execution (command)
• CRG and mental side
Every player will have:
• Throwing plan with drill package specific to them
• Bullpen plans focusing on their needs and goals
• Arm care routine
• Mobility program tailored towards areas needed to improve (primarily focused on spine, hips, and shoulders)
• Strength program
Head coach,
@stevenrosen_ and pitching coach
@willhesslink4 are building something very special in NY.
They want to get the most out of every single player and are willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Excited to see what this year has in store for the Jaspers!
