The ideal sleep time of 7-8 hours was based on studies conducted on men. It wasn’t discovered until recently that women produce almost all of their hormones while sleeping, unlike men who also produce hormones while awake. For women that process takes 9-10 hours.

North Atlantic sea surface temperatures hit a record daily high on March 6, 2023. 325 consecutive days of record temperatures later, the North Atlantic is still setting daily records. It's f&%king insanity that the collapse of the planet is not the lead story every day.

Gosh—Did something happen starting around 2020-2023? “There are more Americans who say they have serious cognitive problems — with remembering, concentrating or making decisions — than at any time in the last 15 years, data from the Census Bureau shows. The increase started with the pandemic: The number of working-age adults reporting “serious difficulty” thinking has climbed by an estimated one million people. #LongCovid #CovidIsNotOver nytimes.com/2023/11/13/upsho…

The idea that we must accept a certain amount of state violence in response to a certain type of non-state violence is an idea whose time has gone. Media and politicians are stuck in 2002. People aren't buying it any more

im sorry but healthcare workers not masking around vulnerable people in their care is vile. i get that most people don't want to wear a mask to go shopping or whatever, but if your JOB is to care for people, why don't you care enough to wear a mask?😷

So has anyone started a list of performers who have announced mysterious serious illnesses or medical complications and/or collapsed on stage in the past year? It seems it has been an unusually high number of them. mYsTeRIouS. #CovidIsntOver

My HOT TAKE of the day is that we need to talk more openly about signs that your therapist sucks so people can find a better clinician sooner and/or not give up on therapy as a whole.
