Sen. Jon @Ossoff is out with a new video setting the stage for his showdown with Rep. Mike Collins, the newly minted GOP nominee. It doesn’t hold back, depicting Collins as a scandal-plagued Trump loyalist who “who rode his daddy’s name from business to Congress.” #gapol

This obviously isn't true but the fact that it's closer to being true than it is to being false says much more about the average American than it does anything else.
There can’t be more than 11 people in the United States who knew what Côte d'Ivoire was before the World Cup.

.@JamesTalarico: There's been a lot of talk in this race about what it means to be a real man. Recently on the campaign trail I told the story of my adoptive dad, Mark Talarico. Every Saturday morning, he would mow our lawn, and then without anyone asking him to, he would go next door and mow our neighbor's lawn because she was a widow. My dad never talked about it — he just did it, because that's what a man does. A man takes responsibility, upholds his commitments to his family and his neighbors, and does what's right, even when no one is watching. Here's what real men don't do. They don't lie and cheat their way through life, sell their soul to the highest bidder, or steal from other people in order to enrich themselves. Real men serve others. Weak men serve themselves. I welcome this debate about what it means to be a man, and I don't think Ken Paxton or Ted Cruz are in a position to tell anybody what a real man is.

Ole Miss and Texas Tech have set new precedent in the NCAA, that if your player is ruled ineligible just take it to an alumni court judge to overturn it, I expect every school can now do this, spearheaded by sleezebag NIL agents and lawyers, suspensions will no longer be relevant

This should pretty much be the final nail in the coffin of the NCAA if their rules regarding arguably the biggest no no in all of sports (no gambling) can be nullified by any local judge. A lot of the other eligibility issues have lots of gray area but this is pretty clear cut.
NEWS: A judge in district court in Lubbock County, Texas, has granted the injunction requested by Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby. He’s set to be eligible for the 2026 season.

A Democrat running for office must provide detailed plans on how to fix every issue while a Republican running for office just need to come up with a nickname for their opponent.

There are Democrats who worry AOC can’t be elected president because she’s a Latina woman. Or Pete Buttigieg because he’s gay. This is a helpful reminder that Republicans will go completely apeshit if you nominate a straight cis decent white guy too.

Watters: Talarico looks prepubescent. He looks like the guy who leaves an apple on the teacher's desk. The major factor in this race is whether he’s a vegan.

I know what this is really about but humor me- how many significant others of Senators or Representatives do we know really know or even care about? Is there like a website or something to keep track on them? Again, I know what is really going here, I'm just saying.

Watters: Talarico is also 37 and not married. He says he has a girlfriend. He called her his best friend. He’s not revealing her identity because he wants to protect her privacy. Why haven’t we ever seen her before? Does she exist? If he wins, are they going to have a coming out party? Is she also vegan?

I'm not sure I'm ready for a world where Big Ten teams will have won each of the last 4 "big" college sports titles. If the Gamecocks can't come back, UConn is the only hope until the College World Series (surely they can't win baseball, right?)

And right after posting this I realize the west coast expansion about to give them a women's hoops title also gives them three top 15 baseball teams plus Nebraska...

Lunardi talks about context in regard to the Miami U/Auburn argument but then a)proceeds to completely ignore the context that Miami as an at large candidate requires at least one loss and b)seeds **undefeated** Miami as an 11 seed, the exact same seed line as his last four in

Like, Bruce Pearl is a terrible human being and I fervently hate him but he didn't actually say anything too out of line or anything that practically every bracketologist has been saying for weeks now

My annual NBA Slam Dunk contest rant: it would be a much better show if everyone- judges included- just pretended they have never seen a slam dunk contest before and just enjoy the spectacle of watching freakishly large and amazing athletes doing freakishly athletic things!
