Check out our new preprint! We have a cool new transgenic cre-reporter mouse that expresses soma-targeted GCaMP7s and ChroME- perfect for all optical experiments in vivo! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Plus it makes for pretty movies! (Credit to @ianOldenburg for this one) Here we used holographic optogenetics to rapidly activate ensembles of individual neurons in L2/3 of V1 while imaging GCaMP7s responses.

Excited to share my latest findings! I found that single neurons in the mouse brain encoded the price of cryptocurrencies 🪙 Here is a neuron from the visual cortex which shows a highly significant correlation with the Bitcoin price at the time it was recorded.

We also provide a wide-range 2p spectra and measured how much depolarization the imaging laser alone causes (ie. crosstalk) for our new (ChroME2f and ChroME2s) opsins and existing variants.
