What would it look like if the shutter was removed from a movie camera? Cool, I suppose. Some sort of vertical blur?

Also, what if the shutter was made of transparent, colored plastic? The blur would be colored but the picture would be in full color.

I recently bought a new vacuum cleaner. It's not the robotic kind, however it does support AES encryption. Why, you may ask? Because you can control its motor with a small 2.4 GHz radio controller on the handle :)

Idea: Spectrogram that ignores any transposition in 12-TET :) Brightness is summed across the musical scale (log Y scale that wraps around every 12th root of 2). We can see how intonation wanders, esp. interesting with fretless strings/a cappella.

Harmonics will also show up but it doesn't matter that much - the first really out-of-tune harmonic is number 5 and we can low-pass filter to get less of those
