Excited to announce that Pronto, our instant house help platform, has just raised $25 million in a new round led by Epiq Capital. Existing backers Glade Brook Capital Partners LLC, General Catalyst and Bain Capital Ventures (BCV) have doubled down. Nine months ago we had one hub in Sector 56, Gurgaon. We were sleeping on the floor to ensure customers who had made a booking received reliable service. We were doing about 170 bookings per day. We're now at over 18,000 bookings a day with more than 3,000 dedicated and happy Pros on the platform. We know most of the work is still ahead of us.

In December 2023, when the idea for Pronto was first born in my mind, I became deeply obsessed. I couldn’t sleep at night because I was thinking about how I wasn’t building Pronto. I couldn’t eat because my stomach hurt thinking about how I wasn’t building Pronto. I was in mental pain every day thinking about how the internship I was doing my senior Spring semester was a deeply wrong allocation of my time.  It’s hard to describe what this level of obsession is like to someone who hasn’t felt it, but when people ask why I started Pronto, the best answer I can give is that I could not live without starting this company. The 30 year vision for Pronto is much broader than home services - our goal is to formalize and organize all unskilled, informal labor in India. We want to eradicate labor market inefficiencies which constrain consumers and business while disenfranchising workers. Company building comes with many ups and downs. This vision is what drives me forward even at the lowest points. In the four months since launch, we’ve cleaned over 50,000 homes, hit $1M ARR, and saved countless hours of stress for our customers. But the impact I’m most proud of is on the supply side - over 600 women have gone through our training process, learning both soft and hard skills, and joining a platform that gives them income stability and formal employment for the first time in their lives. We went from pre-seed to Series A in less than 4 months and we’re on a mission to create 2 million jobs in less than 2 years. We’ve assembled an incredible team over the past few months (including several former founders) and have the backing of some of the world’s top investors.
