Fun Fire Fact Friday! Did you know that sometimes tree branches can catch fire? How, you might ask?

That is the one all the way at the top.) Being proactive is a great way to prevent this from happening. Just look at your trees in the yard and if your branches are touching or very close to any power lines, you can give XCEL Energy a call and let them know to check it out.

Our class of 2024 is going through Fire Apparatus Operations, which means they are learning how to pump and drive the fire trucks.

With a class of 10 individuals, each needing several hours and miles of driving for every major apparatus, it amounts to many hours for our trainers.

The class of 2024 will be complete by the end of the Summer with their FAO training. Please do wave at them if you see them driving around! π

Please prepare yourselves. Nothing we haven't seen before, but let's be ready as always. Get those gutters set, check that the sump pumps are working, and secure any items in the yard.
