That is the one all the way at the top.) Being proactive is a great way to prevent this from happening. Just look at your trees in the yard and if your branches are touching or very close to any power lines, you can give XCEL Energy a call and let them know to check it out.
If you are being reactive, do not hesitate to call 911. We will come check it out and make sure you and your family are safe. The more you know. ππ§βπ
Itβs time for another WMFRD Firefighters Relief Association Dinner. Please come and support the Relief if you are available β the dinner is really good! π
Shout out to all of our Fire Apparatus trainers right now at West Metro Fire!
Our class of 2024 is going through Fire Apparatus Operations, which means they are learning how to pump and drive the fire trucks.
Please prepare yourselves. Nothing we haven't seen before, but let's be ready as always. Get those gutters set, check that the sump pumps are working, and secure any items in the yard.
If you are in any kind of emergency, don't forget, we are here to help!
Fun Fire Fact Friday! This week, West Metro Fire would LOVE to educate you on Opticom traffic lights and the actual meaning behind what you are seeing at intersections.
the emergency vehicle is traveling either across the intersection or toward you from the opposite flow of traffic? What should you do? Pull over and stop if it's safe to do so. If you need to go through the intersection or have already started, be hyper-aware of all traffic and
pull over and stop as soon as it is safe. Please do not block the intersection and please do not follow the emergency vehicle at the same speed to just "catch the lights". The more you know π youtube.com/watch?v=KgwtVJ_-β¦
