Just came back on here for the first time in months. My feed is just full of hate-filled racist rightwing rhetoric. Think I’ll go find out where the thoughtful people went.
It was a real shame you had to cut him off @BBCNewsnight - what he had to say was absolutely horrifying. Also a shame he wasn’t one of the front campaigners for @VP … surely there is some humanity / empathy out there in amongst those Trump voters?
“I’m not saying I don’t love Donald, he is my uncle. Do I disagree with him on policy? Absolutely!”
Fred Trump the Third, Donald Trump's nephew, tells #Newsnight how he feels about comments he says his uncle made about his disabled son:
Reviews are in for FAST
How far would you go to find the perfect cure?
Fast is the true story of ‘Dr’ Linda Hazzard whose promotion of her own radical fasting cure in the early 1900s gripped the press and divided a nation.

Remember when #KamalaHarris went immediately to #Iowa when the state's six-week abortion ban went into effect last year and laid out what it would mean for women to try to find the care they needed?

I’m very relieved we have finally got a sane government but horrified by the treatment of @jessphillips and @ShabanaMahmood in Birmingham. Please respect and look out for these brilliant women. They are both doing fantastic work for their communities. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4ng…
Caring isn’t just my family's story, it is the story of millions, caring for each other, dealing with tough times, and keeping going with love.
Sharing our story hasn't been easy, but it's important. It's time to bring carers' experiences into the light.
Not for the first time @Nigel_Farage has played the media like a fiddle. It is the one thing he is very good at. But now that he has played his latest tune, they - and especially in this case the broadcast media - need to think long and hard about the role they have played in all this. Constant platforming without real scrutiny - of his role in Brexit, which he barely talks about now; of the financing of his party; of his contempt for the rule of law as shown in his sycophantic relationship with Trump; and now like the Tories pumping misinformation far and wide. Populism never works when it gets anywhere near power. It only gets as far as it does because “it makes for good copy.” But it can do a lot of damage to democracy on the way.
Never before have I read a book that haunted my sleep, made my heart race & caused me to weep for humanity quite like Prophet Song by @paullynchwriter - it felt a hair’s breadth away - and a plausible reality for so many.
Compulsory national service? As if they haven’t doomed our kids’ futures enough. The sooner these rats abandon their sinking ship the better.
Or more cleverly satirised here:
