This one means a lot. Darshan spotted a problem worth solving. Gauri shipped a real piece of software. WPFolks just connected the dots. This is exactly why we built the Ideas board.
Another WPFolks idea shipped 🚀 Darshan Chauhan posted "Content Decay Detector" as an idea on the WPFolks Ideas board. A few weeks later, Gauri Kaushik built it. Shipped with: decay scoring algorithm, WP Cron batched scanning, REST API with nonce auth, WP_List_Table reports, dashboard widget, weekly digest, Gutenberg sidebar, PHPUnit tests, zero PHPCS violations. This is the loop: an idea posted → another folk builds it → everyone benefits. Idea: wpfolks.org/ideas/content-de… Shipped: github.com/GauriDevWork/cont… Massive respect to both folks. Happy 23rd birthday, WordPress 🎂 23 years of powering the web, built by a community that just keeps showing up. To celebrate, two new badges are live on WPFolks: WP @ 23, for every folk active during birthday week (May 27 to 31). WP Journey, a six-step badge based on how long you have had your wp.org account.

Glad WPFolks could chip in for the Ahmedabad WordPress birthday celebration. Ahmedabad has one of the most active WordPress communities in India, and supporting them is a small way to give back. Have a wonderful evening, folks 🎂
Happy to support the Ahmedabad WordPress community on WordPress's 23rd birthday 🎂 Backing local WordPress communities is exactly why WPFolks exists. Have a wonderful celebration, folks.

Still buzzing from that. Folks from all over the world jumped on a Google Meet to celebrate WordPress 7.0 together. Some up past midnight, some sipping morning coffee, all just hanging out and geeking out over WordPress. Did not expect this kind of turnout for a party we planned a few hours ago. First WPFolks release party done. Already can't wait for the next one. Thank you to everyone who showed up 🙏 #WordPress #WordPress70 #WordPressCommunity

Wild. Posted this idea a few weeks back, never expected anyone to actually build it. Thanks @MediaRonLLC. The idea: wpfolks.org/ideas/block-patt…
Real story from WPFolks today: A few weeks ago, @wpankit posted an idea in the Ideas module, Block Pattern Version Control. Save versions of a block pattern, roll back to any previous version. Post revisions but for patterns. @MediaRonLLC saw it, claimed it, built it, and just shipped it in Pattern Wrangler today. Try it: wordpress.org/plugins/patter… This is the whole point of WPFolks. wpfolks.org #WordPress #BuildInPublic #WordPressCommunity
