South Carolina, Houston, and Grand Canyon were the only top 75ish programs to make changes because of wins/losses. Baseball coaches get a longer leash and it's been exacerbated in this era. Schools don't want to buy out non-rev coaches when that $ can go to FB/MBB rosters.
With Travis Creel to @JaxStateBB - the biggest job available right now in @NCAABaseball is the UC Riverside vacancy. d1baseball.com/coaching-buzz…

With Troy's win, the Sun Belt becomes the first league outside the SEC/ACC/B12/Pac-12 to win a game in Omaha in consecutive seasons since C-USA (Rice) and the Big West (Fullerton, Irvine) in 2006 and 2007.

We'll see if this works for Coastal!

Brad Bohannon is quietly one of the more impactful people in college athletics the last 5 or so years. He was the catalyst for getting leagues to adopt availability reports.
This is wild: After getting fired in 2023 for betting against his own team, former Alabama baseball head coach Brad Bohannon is now a pharmaceutical sales rep in Lexington, KY. Our favorite part is him using his old Alabama bio pic for his LinkedIn headshot. 😂

Was fairly inevitable the SEC would get a record number of teams in Omaha after this was published.
The SEC might be losing its grip on college baseball 🤔 buff.ly/Zj3DyE4

The sport is officially going to jump the shark when Stephen A. Smith goes on First Take after Arkansas gets bounced in a super by Cincinnati talking about how Dave Van Horn can't win the big one.
The one annoying part of college baseball’s rise in popularity is the big media people who have no idea what they’re talking about all of a sudden have a take

Baseball recruiting is different especially in the era of Perfect Game/PBR making things more national portal but Troy getting to Omaha makes me replay this clip in my head.

2018-22 CWS were super chalky but the last 4 years: Oral Roberts (#4 seed), Murray State (#4 seed), Troy (#3 seed). Plus, Coastal in the final last year (not really a Cinderella). Saint John's is still on the board for this year.

Troy getting to Omaha is great for them and all but could I interest them in a 40-win season streak?

I'm stealing this from someone in a Discord group but the vibe of going from the Athens super to the Chapel Hill super is like going from the Phoenix Open to The Masters.

If I'm Coastal and Schnall does leave, I'd try and snatch up Todd Interdonato at BC. The conference affiliation is obviously the big hang up but Coastal's job is superior in every other respect. Coached in SC (Wofford) for close to 20 years.
