Don’t believe all the gloom and doom that gets shared around constantly nowadays.
Yes, the world has problems. Yes, I think social media has impacted global mental health. That part is real and worth taking seriously.
But the doom narrative flattens everything. It tells you nothing good is happening, that kids have nowhere to go and nothing to do, that the whole thing is over. Step outside and you’ll see it isn’t true.
Kids are still out having fun, being kids. Families are still at the park. People are still hiking, swimming, sitting in the sun, building things, falling in love. Still enjoying nature and being human.
The story you get fed online is not the story happening in front of you. Touch grass and you’ll remember that.
Never doom.
"Stare at a wall" is so apt bc there is literally nothing for kids to do here anymore. Parks are for young children, so teens get chased out, everything is super expensive so you can't go on a day out, and there's precious little nature left to explore.
Thats all you can do.
