Congratulations to Dr. @preyesfe for receiving the @ORSsociety Collaborative Exchange Grant to work with Dr. @ProfGingerFerg and her group at @CUBoulder. Looking forward to the great things that will come from this continued collaboration!

Congratulations to Dr. Perla Reyes Fernandez for receiving a John Haddad Young Investigator Award at the @ASBMR#AIMM2022 Conference. Amazing talk this morning, excited to see how all this progresses!
Most prestigious award I’ve received is this trophy for runner up in a spontaneous ping pong match at #ORS2020 with @CSWrightPhD and Katie Lawton. Looking forward to defending at #ORS2022.
Excited to have this paper published and recognized. A lot of collaborative work here with Matt Prideaux, @CSWrightPhD, Gerald Atkins, @kenewhit, @megan_noonan, @ClinkLab, @Uma43571860 and others. Apart from the tri-lineage capacity of these cells, one the coolest aspects…
…is that they produce active FGF23 protein. A finding contributed by @kenewhit, @megan_noonan, and @ClinkLab, and one of the only cell lines available with that ability. Hopefully these cells will be useful for a variety of studies in both naive and differentiated states.
God is so good! So humbled and blessed to finally receive the NoA for my F99/K00 application. Overcoming the hoops of applying for an NIH fellowship as an international student is made possible because of the village of mentors from @UF_HHP and the #UFMyologyInstitute
