1) imagine having both Luka and Brunson on your team 2) imagine that out of those two, Brunson is the first to lead his team to a championship

This morning between 3:20-4:00 @markskaggs10 and I captured noctilucent clouds above Seattle! These clouds are the highest clouds on planet earth. I have been after this composition with them, Mt Baker and the Space Needle for close to a decade now! We finally got it! #wawx

For @skydrama specifically it's 8 PM: Oh cool, a TOTY again
Storm chasing is.. 8 AM: Oh boy, I can't wait to chase a storm! 1 PM: I hate myself and every decision I've made that led me to this moment in time 8 PM: Oh cool, a storm!

Inside our minds there are two creatives: one creates for the sake out of creating something out of nothing, the other creates to solve a problem. I am convinced social interaction, dating, etc. thrives in the former and gets smothered by the latter.
a few years ago my friend and I were both single, and we had a conversation about “elevating dating to an art form” it started out mostly joking but eventually a clear picture emerged: we would strive to make the experience as beautiful as possible for the other person that meant clear communication, exceptional effort & presence, and, if things weren’t a match, letting them down in a gentle, honest way it was successful (both of us are now in relationships) but also it made dating fun again. it made it a creative pursuit - how do I create something beautiful here - and dispelled any fatigue or disillusionment

The last few days has made me painfully aware of my forecasting blind spots (Midwest synoptically-driven events, because they haven’t happened often between ~2011 and this year)

Red sprites from last night. Last night was crazy. I captured over 60 individual sprite events. Captured from southern Minnesota looking toward the storm over Missouri / Illinois.

A massive medical warehouse is burning in Tracy, California, and putting up a gnarly cloud of toxic smoke. This smoke is going to settle into the Valley overnight, and is also reaching into the Santa Clara Valley near Morgan Hill. If you live in an area which is being impacted by smoke, close your windows and doors, and run your AC. Consider evacuating yourself if you can smell it strongly. Satellite image from 1pm thru 5pm, 6/11/2026. More info on our livestream on The Lookout YouTube Channel, link in comments.

LP is halfway between no storm and a classic supercell. HP is halfway between classic supercell and slop/convective complex.
I think many of us would like to believe that forecasting HP vs LP supercells is a simple function of a few environmental parameters, but the reality is that it’s much more complex and nuanced than that

The hustle bros won't tell you this, but swimming upstream against your nature is always bad strategy.
